why z? (2019) is a children's animated short film I created as my graduating thesis at the School of Visual Arts. The story follows z, the lonely last letter of the alphabet, who struggles to find their way in a world that constantly reminds them of their place at the end. I was responsible for the film’s full production - from writing and directing to animation and post-production. The film was an animation finalist at the Student Academy Awards, named a Cartoon Brew Short of the Day, and screened at over 20 international film festivals.
